Gregory Horn moved to Buffalo with his family at the age of 8 in 1978 and has lived, worked, and been a champion for Buffalo ever since. Greg attended Public School 45 for the 4th grade and attended City Honors School for grades 5-12.
Today, Greg Horn is an entrepreneur and small business developer. A talented carpenter and builder since high school, he started his own small business in his early twenties. His business, A to Z Home Restoration, has employed from 2 to 5 employees full time since 1995. He is also co-founder and junior partner of an efficiency consulting business called EcoLogic Home. A NYSERDA Home Performance with Energy Star partner, EcoLogic Home seeks to connect home owners with the available NYS incentives for energy efficiency upgrades which save them money and minimize their environmental footprints.
Greg has been an active member of the Green Party of Erie County since 1996, serving on many committees in addition to holding the offices of secretary, vice chairperson and chairperson.
Greg lives in Buffalo with his partner, Kristen Webb and is the father of two wonderful children, Alexander and Jordan. Kristen is an interior designer and an antique dealer and is the owner of Webb Trading Company, located on Hertel Avenue in Buffalo.
Greg's father, Gilbert Jordan Horn, now deceased, was the pastor of the First Presbyterian Church on Symphony Circle in Buffalo from 1978 until 1986. His mother, Gretchen M. Nichols, has enjoyed a rewarding career as a violinist, a violin teacher, and a high school teacher, most recently at Kenmore West. She has recently retired from teaching and proudly resides in Buffalo with a wonderful man named David Brand. Greg's brother, Peter, is the head of the English Department at Westfield High School in New Jersey. His brother, John, is the Buffalo managing partner of the law firm, Harter, Secrest and Emery.
